OUR CORE PILLARS
ETHICAL & FAIR WAGES
A core pillar of the brand is ensuring that their artisan partners across Mexico receive fair, sustainable compensation. This living-wage model inherently costs significantly more than mass-produced fast fashion.
Labor-Intensive Handcrafting
Every piece is a work of textile art. The embroidery alone on a single garment can take up to three weeks to a month to complete by hand.
Intricate Artisan Techniques
Garments feature specialized, generationally passed-down techniques. This includes weaving on backstrap looms, hand-pulling threads to create cut-out lace, traditional hand crochet finishes at the necklines, sleeves and hems.

The Design
Inspired by the textures and colors found in Mexico, our designs will always be a playful mix of an urban-coastal style, blended with the handmade traditions of indigenous artisans.

Our commitments
From the very beginning, responsibility has been a core value — both towards our artisant partners and the environment. From design to distribution, each step is approached with care to create pieces that are timeless, high quality, and fairly priced.

OUR STORY
URBAN ENERGY MEETS MEXICAN ARTISTRY
Lola y Tula was created in 2015 as a connection to my culture and a desire to see Mexican craftsmanship represented within American fashion brands. By joining our community with just one purchase, we nurture partnerships that support livlihoods for 100s of artisan woman, helping them sustain and pass down their traditions for generations to come.
