The process beings when the cotton yarn is dunked for washing and hung up to dry in the sun in order to pre-shrink before looming. Once the threads are set up on several looms, artists sit on the ground, tie belts around their waist and begin looming. To loom each panel, the process can take at minimum 7 days. From there, the artisans cut the panels to sew into the blouse shape.
